Breast reduction surgery

Breast reduction is diminishes the size of the breast by surgically removing glandular tissue, fat, and skin. Women may have breast reduction for aesthetic reasons or because of large breasts that cause shoulder and back pain that interfere with normal activities and relationships.

Not all people are good candidates for breast reduction surgery. Good candidates for breast reduction surgery are women with no serious health problems, who are of relatively normal weight despite their overly large breasts, and whose breast development has generally reached maturity.

Any woman considering breast reduction must first have an initial consultation with a plastic surgeon. Make sure you choose a plastic surgeon that certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeon. You can contact Dr. Brian Kinney MD to schedule your consultation. He is one of the top plastic surgery practices in southern California. During your initial consultation, you will be encouraged to discuss your desires, fears, expectations and goals.
