Warnings about smoking during pregnancy

No doubt you've already heard how bad smoking is for your baby when you're pregnant. You can find a lot of label warning around you, such as smoking by pregnant women may result in fetal injury, premature birth, and low birth weight. Some research has found that smoking when you're pregnant could hurt your child's mental development and behavior.

Even if smoking in pregnant women has decreased in recent decades, it is still a matter of concern due to serious health consequences. Because of the serious risks of smoking to the pregnant smoker and fetus, quitting smoking may be one of the most significant things a pregnant woman can do to optimize the well-being of her baby. Ideally, women should stop smoking before getting pregnant.

It is really essential for quitting smoking and avoiding secondhand smoke during pregnancy. If you can’t quit smoking, you need seek help from the professional immediately. There are several types of programs have been developed in various settings to help pregnant women stop or reduce their smoking habit.

  1. Smoking during pregnancy is harmful to the developing fetus. Snuff smoke deprives the fetus of oxygen required, which can affect fetal development.

Personally,I think it's an excuse made up by people who don't want to feel guilty because they didn't quit smoking during pregnancy.Like drinking too much alcohol or doing drugs, smoking is also very harmful to your health.It can cause serious health conditions including cancer,heart disease, stroke and gum disease.It can also cause eye diseases that can lead to blindness. Smoking can make it harder for a woman to get pregnant.

  7. You can eat healthy food and walking during the pregnancy. You can must avoid smoking and drinking during the pregnancy. Because of its not only harmful to you but it is also harmful to your kid.
